I agree, the moderators have a friendly bet, i.e. no money, what day do we reach 1,000 members. Last time I checked it was 925 or so. Any friendly guesses out there????ChuckyD said:

GatorGreg said:Hey Chucky, just in case you didn't know already, when you are NOT logged in it will read "View Today's Active Threads" and clicking on it will show you every thread that has had activity in the last 24 hours. When you ARE logged in it will read "View New Posts" and will only show you the threads that have had activity since the last time you logged in.
AFAIK it doesn't matter whether or not you read the thread.Iman74 said:Even if I do not read a thread...
What does that mean?GatorGreg said:AFAIK

If you log in and then immediately log out, then log back in right away and click on "View New Posts" there would be few if any results since it only shows the new posts since the last time you logged in which would have only been a minute ago
GatorGreg said:If you log in only once every couple of days, then clicking on the "View New Posts" button should give several dozen results, even if you've read some of the threads when you were not logged in.
If you're talking about the same tear jerkingpeter78 said:Also, I noticed Iman74 had to post 4 times or so, to complete one story because of character length. Not that it was such a great story, but maybe we can have the ability to post slightly longer.
(Iman74, just kidding about your story, it brought tears to my eyes.)
GatorGreg said:If you're talking about the same tear jerkingstory that I'm thinking of, I remember thinking at the time: "why is he breaking it up into 4 parts?" The character limit per post is set at the default setting of 10,000 which is much bigger than what was posted IIRC (If I Recall Correctly
).
