Add Base to a basic stock system

Hello, I would like some guidance on how to add a little base to my 2005 4Runner SR5 basic stock system? I'm willing to add an amp and a woofer or two, but not replace my stock door speakers or HU. I'm looking for a reasonably priced solution. Also, what would be the most effective woofer solution that would not take up much cargo space? Does anyone know if the basic stock HU has any RCA outs for an amp, because I'm assuming the stock system comes with no factory amp hidden somewhere?
Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Stock radio has the amp built into the radio and does not have RCA outs. Circuity City installed an AMP and two 10" subs for me for less than $300. It does take up some space, but if you cut it to only 1 Sub you'll have more room.

If you want small space with a lot of bass look at the Infinity Bass link or if you're strapped for cash the Bazookas.

More Base

WOW! Only $300? Was that for the amp and woofers too, or only installation costs? If $300 for everything including installation, do you mind sharing what you got, (ie-brand name of amp and woofers). I'll have to make a run to Circuit City for that kinda deal.
Thanks!

I started out with the pre- amped bazooka 10' tube with stock speakers. Sounds pretty good and takes up minimal space. You don't want to much bass if you are keeping the rest stock.

Stock Head Unit

I was wondering if anyone knows how to take out the Stock Head Unit for my '05 4Runner SR5? It's the basic stock system. I don't see any screws to loosen, so I'm hoping the dash doesn't require removal.

Also, does anyone know if these HU's have RCA outs on the back to add an aftermarket amp to?

Thanks!

Basic Radio Wiring

Hi. Does anyone out there possess a wiring diagram for a basic radio head unit with single CD and cassette, for a 2005 4runner?

Thanks!

According to BestBuy.com, it doesn't fit my 3rd Gen. Oh well...:moping:

:bash: :D

Actually, I'll probably be going with that. I just have to figure out how to install it in a removable fashion. Probably straps mounted in side panel of cargo area.
