my jeep coils i got were 12 inches tall and i got 3.5 inches and i think it was 2 inches over stock but the coils were 14 inches when i got them. maybe build some cheap longer shackles and stick in the whole spring and get a smoother ride and more highth. just an idea. i made longer shackles alittle bit ago and i wish i didnt cut my coils, they are a little loose now.
 
14 should be fine. But more importantly, what is the spring rate on them?

How are you planning to install them, between the bump stops?

How stiff the springs are, measured in Lbs. You should be looking for a spring rate of about 125 (x2 springs, gives you 250 lbs )

I see this as more as a temporary fix for a saggy rear end. If your really trying to get some lift out, thing about just replacing the leafs.

Alot of people like this set up. Ive ridden in a couple, its smooth. But, there is just not supposed to be a spring there.

Thats not mine, Im running a modifiedleaf pack.

Give your coils a try. I bet under normal street driving theyll be fine. Just dont wheel it to hard.

But being that wide, are they going to rub on the tires?
 
heres what mine looks like with jeep front coils cut down to 11 inches i think.

and thats how i put them in. i wore a football helmet and im glad i did because one strap broke and shot out at me. it bent the face mask!!!!!! haha o well im all good now

You're talking about what they call the zuk-mod over on yotatech, that may help with your searching.

I've done it. I used 14 inch 125lb coils. I know some folks like them but I've gotta tell you, I don't like it at all. They lifted the rear about 3.5 inches, which is higher than I wanted, they're soggy and squishy and bouncy, and I still bottom out when loaded for a long trip.
