That's a sweet looking bumper. Anyone know if I have already cut my front frame tabs off because I have an ARB if this will still work? I have a 3rd gen and I see the bumper comes with the "bolt on front crossmember" for mounting. Just not sure if it uses the mount plate that I cut off to install my ARB.

Yeah I was more just quickly curious. I'm prob not going to get one, I have my ARB, and think i'm going to do some trimming on it like Jmoney$$$ and Brian2sun did for some better clearance up front.

I had two local quotes for PC on mine for $140 from each place. I went with the one that could do it sooner. Came out perfect, I have closeups of a semi gloss, wrinkle black in my build thread. Its a great bumper, the approach angle and ground clearance are insane.

I'm just going to be doing a couple of coats of self-etching primer followed by a couple of coats of rustoleum bedliner. Maybe $60. It's what I did on my sliders. The finish matches the powder coating on my Gobi rack perfectly and is really easy to touch up every time I drag it on some rocks.

Have you seen any longer term results with the Rustoleum bedliner spray? I know when spray on liners were first introduced they use to get some bad fading before too long and it looked like crap after a while. I hoping they have improved in the last several years, I think I'll go the same route if the group-buy works out - probably give the rock sliders a matching coat too.

Typical price to powder coat with a media blast/sand blast should be around $150 if you are using a common color choice. One thing I will recommend is to not powder coat or paint a gloss black. Gloss black (just like with cars) will show every wave, divot, swirl, etc in the grinding of the bumper. We recommend Satin, hammered, or textured on these.

Curious as to what specifically will need to be trimmed, the site says:

***Some minor trimming will be required for fitment. All of these bumpers will have the 10x4.5" winch mounting pattern pre-drilled. Please call for current turn-times.

If I can get an idea of what I need to trim, and what tool I need to accomplish this, I'm in. I'd also be extremely happy to get a list of winches that fit without additional modification. Been trying to research that for the last few hours actually, but it'd be great to have a couple to choose from as I tend to never splurge for the most expensive option.

those are the current process and then you knock of $100 or $125 depending on how many people sign up for the group buy.

I'm sure of you know what winch you want you can call or email the manufacturer and see what the mounting pattern is.

I don't know about the trimming, but I talked to Scotty about winches, and these were the two that he told me would definitely work.

What trimming did you have to do?

It is required that you have to cut off the factory frame horns to allow the much stronger AOR subframe to bolt up. Once you get it on and check for fitment you will be able to decide how much you want to trim your fender liners and inner front fenders. I would do all that by marking with the bumper on and then pulling it for the extra room to work before the final install.
