Hey Scotty (or anyone else that knows for sure) any reason this winch wouldn't work with the gen3 plate bumper? It's the 10x4.5 bolt pattern we need correct?

Bolt pattern is the same. But, we haven't test fit it yet. These bumpers are a tight fit. In fact, I get a lot of people who say certain winches don't fit. Mainly because of how they mount the roller fairlead. People run the bolts to mount it from the front to the inside. You need to make sure you run the bolts from the inside to the front. That way it doesn't interfere with the mounting. I have had two guys in the last week call me about this with oour winch plates. Once I explain how to do it, it fits fine.

That being said, the two winches that I will recommend over all others are the Warn VR8000 and the Superwinch LP8500

Both are good winches on a budget from a quality manufacturer. IMHO, the Superwinch is a smokin deal and probably the best bang for the buck out there considering what Smittybuilt is selling their Chinese winch for. I plan to run the Superwinch on my 89' 4runner.

You also can tap the mounting holes for your fairlead, which is what i had to do with mine as there simply wasnt room to run them from inside the plate with my Engo. Luckily the winch plate and fairlead mount are 1/4" steel so there is plenty of room to cut threads in there.

Dont sleep on this deal t4r, this bumper has the best mounting system, highest clearance/approach angle, and most offroad-centric design of any other fab shop out there. It's more than a pretty face.

Thanks for the info. Made in the USA goes a long way with me, so you think an 8000lb Warn would be sufficient for a trail prepped Gen3? I really don't do much mudding or bog crossings but I will do a lot of solo off-road snow driving and would likely be needing the winch for self recovery more than anything else.

Can anyone point out or show me a pic of the 7" offroad light tabs option when ordering for the AOR website, I want to make sure I get everything I need for this bumper and for $15 bucks its probably worth it if I will need it. Just wanted to see it before I put down my deposit.
And is there anything for a 2in body lift that needs to be added when ordering? I really want to avoid a substantial gap between the bumper and body!

There is no body lift option for this bumper. The light tabs werent offered on the initial run of these so mine doesnt have them to show you. I know i have seen them on a couple other rigs though i think [MENTION=95069]TBuzz[/MENTION] has the tabs on his.

If you go to one of the original threads that's linked on the first page you can scroll thru it and in some of the pics you can see the light tabs and also in the finished pics you can see the light bar mounted up!

As Natemob said there is no option for a BL with this bumper but you might be able to look around and see if anybody is running it with a BL and see how the gap is?

You dont need to order anything else. You will be good to go, the winch bolts directly to the bumper.
