Additional Aux. Lamps on Safari bar

i believe it was sharp4runner who referred to some jeep light brackets to mount addt'l lights on his safari bar, and i found those brackets. only thing i wanted to know was how do they hold up or are they worth the $30. i really want to mount another pair of hella's i have just sitting doing nothing. some one let me know. Or if someone knows the exact diameter of the safari bar that would help tremendously. thanks

Safari grill is 2" diameter tubing. I never got around to getting those light adapters so if you end up doing it let me know how it goes

my dad and i are considering just getting a couple of metal strips from lowes and bending them to shape. i dont know how, but im gettiing those lights on somehow.

I'm not sure how thick the walls are on the bar but see if you can get some tabs welded on it and then respray it.

I dont think doing the strap thing would make for a solid light mount point . Just my thoughts without seeing it.

Personally one of the things I dont like about the Safari bars is the low mounting points for lights so if i get a bar i would look into tabs before installing it.

I've got a question about the bar . Can you mount lights hanging from the tabs like I've seen you guys do or can you mount them on top of the tabs so the lights are higher up ?? Never seen a bar in person so I'm just asking for my future benefit. thanks.

nope, the only way you can is with the two tabs right there on the bottom bar. im planning on getting two more smaller lights that i used for reverse lights on the top bar. we'll see how it goes after i go to lowes and see what they have. my dad promised me if he cant do it the way he wants all nice and clean, then hell just get me the mounts from the jeep place, or pay for the custom work by a shop.
