Also forgot to mention I put in some weathertech digital fit floor liners. I've had them in every vehicle I've owned for the past few years and while they are expensive I personally feel they are well worth it.
Well the stock head unit wasn't going to cut it so I picked up a Pioneer P3400BH off amazon. I did some reading on different unit's and this one had great reviews and was capable of performing everything I wanted it too and more. Along with the P3400BH I ordered a backup camera and the override so I could use all functions even while driving. And last but not least a ScangaugeII to help keep up with tranny temp and all the other fun stuff it tells you.
While I had all that going in I decided to toss in an old amp and sub I've had sitting in the garage for a couple years.

I really didn't like the mount for the license back up camera. It's bulky and weird looking. So looked at a bunch of options to help hide the camera but for it to still be functional. I was able to keep everything very clean and wires were run through factory holes. This is what I came up with.

Finally got around to pulling the sticker off the back hatch and painting the faded spoiler.
Had a check engine light pop up will running down the road so I checked it with the ScangaugeII pulled up as P1135 A/F sensor. So I ordered the Denso replacement from amazon. Very quick and easy install and so far no more codes.

Alright it's time I finally got caught up on this build thread so here it goes...
In the past I've always had round tube sliders but this time I was looking for something different. After looking around a some different options I decided I'd just start out with square tube 2x2 3/16". I saw this setup on a few old Branco's and just thought it looked clean, simple, functional and easy to add onto in the future if needed i.e (kickout's or angled round tube). After looking around at a few builds here I saw Dirtco had put together a set I really liked. So I went and bought about $62 worth of tube and got to work. I had a few 3/16" plates left over from a previous bumper build so that's what I used for my frame plates and end caps.
4x4 Frame plates
After looking good and hard at how long I wanted the sliders I decided on 63". At this length they should provide plenty of protection and leave plenty of room for 35's.
End caps traced out
And legs cut down
Caps cut and placed in the tube
Welded and smoothed

Thanks to Dirtco's writeup on his sliders I already knew I would want to fill in the gap between the tube and the body so it didn't look funny. But the only thing I had was 3/16" plate and that just seemed like a lot of added weight for something purely cosmetic. So instead I decided to look at what I had laying around and see what I could come up with. I ended up taking the plastic off of my stock running boards and using it as a filler.
It ended up being the perfect length and kind of gave it a little more of a factory look.
I wanted my sliders to stick out far enough that I felt I had a little bit of tree protection without it looking funny. However I also wanted it to be tucked as far up to the rocker panels as possible. So I decided to notch out the pinch weld were the legs would be. It doesn't see like much but it made a big difference in where the sliders ended up.
Welded the legs in place (flux core no gas)
To attach the plastic to the sliders I used 9 self tapping metal screws.
Then for a little paint
After letting the paint sit overnight I welded the sliders on

Ordered built 3rd's front and rear from ECGS 5.29's and ARB's and I have nothing but great things to say about their customer service and super fast shipping.
I wanted the ability to to fill tires if needed so I peace'd this together this from home depot it's simple and it works.
And then tossed in the 3rd's

Kind of a long story. I ordered the Raceline Monster RT 233's (polished with black ring) in a 17x8.5. After a week I finally called to see if they had shipped and it turns out they only had 3 left in stock. So I asked how long it would be before they would have a 4th and they said it would be right around 6 to 9 months. Apparently the mold for that particular wheel is having to be reconstructed and won't be completed for the next 6 to 9 months. So after talking to them for a while longer he mentioned he still had a few RT 231's in that size as well (same wheel but powder coated black). He said they could send off a couple 233's and get them powder coated to make them 231's. He also said he could get me whatever wheel I wanted in a 17x9.5 but I really think that's just too wide for a 12.50. So after looking around at other options I decided I still wanted to go with Raceline and gave them the go ahead to send off the wheels to get powder coated. Two weeks later I heard they had only sent off two wheels not all four so when they got back I had two shades of black on the wheels. So they had to send them off to get stripped and re-powdercoated :bash: Anyway as of now they still haven't been shipped but come monday I should know when to expect them at my door.
Decided to go with the aluminum polished ring mostly because unlike the black steel ring it protects the bolt heads.

Got a call from Raceline today and my wheels are officially on their way. Should be here on Wednesday next week. But in the mean time I got a few things done.
In an effort to maximize my stock rocker panel switch locations I built a little panel out of old plastic and sheet metal I had laying around the garage. This leaves one spot for driving/fog lights. I got this idea when I was looking through ARKRWLR's build and saw the rocker switch panel he bought from Otrattw.com
Also pick up a DieHard Platinum marine battery. The factory battery mount wouldn't fit so I fabbed one up real quick.
Picked up a 25ft air hose from harbor freight for $5 for topping tires off if needed. Now I just need to pick up a good air chuck that clips on so I don't have to sit and hold it.
And after a short wait my winch arrived. I was pretty pleased with quality of everything.

Dang man, you're dropping some cash on that pile of parts! Nice buy on the F/R ARB's & Compressor. How does that thing feel on the stock size tires with 5.29's?

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes. I expect good things based off of previous experience with my old smittybilt. This one seems to be much nicer even in the little details.
Yeah I knew it was coming but it still hurt to drop the $$$. Gears feel great even with stock tires around town. Little different on the highway but it will be nice when the 35's go on. At 60 MPH I'm at 2400 RPM makes me wonder how I ever kept stock 4.30's with my last rig. Thanks for the complements.
Thanks I really do miss that bumper. But I think this go around I'll be moving to tube. Just thought it'd be nice to do something different from past build and I like the idea of saving on weight.
I can't take full credit on the running board idea. I was really wanting to fill the gap but didn't have any good stuff laying around to do it with other than some plate. I was just getting ready to cut what I needed when a buddy of mine suggested just filling it in with plastic and I said that's a good idea but I don't have any plastic. He walked around his shop and saw some old running boards laying on the ground and had the idea I could use the plastic off that. So after looking at them for a while I cam up with what you see. Glad I didn't add 30lbs of metal to what are already pretty hefty sliders.
