Are you saying you need to remove the molle seat back and all the stuff crammed in it in order to flip up the second row bottom seat?

I would try to tighten up the strap around the front seat head rest to get the molle platform as high as possible. Then mount the bulky pouches towards the top. Leave the lower section for smaller, ( and not fragile items), or nothing at all, so the rear seats could be flipped up.

Let me know if you think this would work.

I would like to point out that if you just go ahead and remove the rear seat bottoms (literally less than 5 minutes) you wouldn't have to remove those seat covers.

I have to remove the seat bottoms to fit in the 4Runner.

I mean that should work, but witht he selected pouches I'm working with its hard to even use those small pouches down below. Plus on the passenger side, I keep a portable battery pack for my studio strobes thats pretty heavy. I mean, I may try it out, Matt over at Blue ridge overland has sent me new straps so you wouldn't have to remove it to fold the seats down, so I'll be testing that out soon.

Thats pretty cool, but removing the bottoms and putting them back on every time I want to fold the seats down, would probably get pretty annoying. Another thing that can be done is fold the seat down, unbuckle the bottom and either turn it to the passenger seat or let it flop over the seat bottom. Its really not a big issue. I'll test these new straps and let everyone know.

The rig is getting some cool things from ARB in a few weeks, time to get it ready for the summer. A couple Missouri guys were talking about doing a Ouray(fj summit)/Moab thing that would last like a few weeks. You in?

Did you ever get that Maggiolina? I'm leaning towards that rather than a trailer with RTT. Are you still in South Carolina? Thanks again Oliver, you rock.

Any trip out west count me in, yes please! Would need a good heads up on dates though. The tent.... yes the tent. It's has been on order for over 6 months now. It got damaged at first and never shipped as a result. I spoke to the rep from Autohome USA yesterday and he told me Jan 7th at the port in Cali. So fingers crossed this time!

Still in South Carolina and loving it. Got my own place of which has a garage..... So lots of mods this winter; I hope!

Excited to hear you've got some goodies from ARB on the way!

lmao, I understand I tend to use 500px more, but yeah i got my 3rd gen w/ no full intentions of modding like I did my 95 EG (civic) hatch, and the mod-bug got a hold of me. But I'm trying to keep it closer to light to minimal mods.

Nice! EG hatch you say! I know how that is, I had a Dc5 and Dc4 before the 4runner, both were super fun cars, spent way too much money on those too lol. My friends all make fun of me cause when I picked up the 4runner, I said I had no intentions of modding it & wanted to get out of that scene..........that didn't work lol.

LOL, I'm in the same boat as you. I owned a 370Z right before the 4Runner, along with various other race/drift/show cars in the past 10 years, all pretty much modded in some way or another. I even bought a Ruckus to "save gas" haha. Sold my cars to "get out of the scene" but we all know how that works.

I even bought a Ruckus to "save gas" haha. Sold my cars to "get out of the scene" but we all know how that works.

I bought a ruckus too! Rode it around for a couple hundred miles, thought it was too slow, swapped a 150cc in it lol.

*Small update*

I have some ARB goodies going in next week, but for now, I've been thinking a lot about this lately. Basically I plan on plastidipping the rig either flat camo green or flat camo tan. The tan is more like the FJ tan & the green is lighter than what I'm posting. Thoughts? I'm leaning towards the green.

I like the FJ tan, if you do that, it would look best with black accenting like the FJ has, like on the hood and whatnot.

If you are going to do it, I say OD green.

Look at the "terrain" colored Ford Raptor.

:bigok: yes!!! DO it! I love the Camo green. Great minds think alike though I'm planing something more on the lines of 3m vinyl wrap. Sort of like what they did with the backcountry runner:
