I'm really diggin the green, but either would look wicked. I actually bought a couple of cans last night. I'm planning on removing the vinyl off the hood and redoing it with plastidip.
You planning on doing it with a rattle can or you going to buy it to use with a sprayer?

I'm keeping the roof black, its going to be too much of a hassle with the rack and all the wiring for the lights. I'm not too worried about it lol.
I'm gonna get the sprayer and go with a couple gallons of dip. Its actually cheaper and takes way less time going this route.
Its inexpensive compared to using the full vinyl wraps. If I don't like it, I can just peel it off. Also I was reading that BlairB was having a little trouble with trail damage on the wraps. It ended up peeling and not staying on. The dips pretty durable and if it comes off, I can just spray it again.

Or in regard to the commnt: (Passenger. I did run into my first issue, but its no problem. If you plan on folding down your rear seats, you have to remove the seat back first only takes a couple seconds). Could you just move the front seat froward a bit to make room?
Ok so here they are!
I misjudged the sizes of the rear seats (thought the passenger rear was bigger for some reason), anyways, they fit perfectly. No need for extra material like I thought, the loops are pretty big.
Here are the fronts.
Driver, as you can see you still have access to the pocket behind the seat.
This is the bottom loop that secures the back to the seat. I just drove around for a little bit, you can't even feel it.

Adio3x this is going to look great. :iagree: I am going to do something similar in the relatively near future, but I think I am going to go with the matte clear with maybe some sort of accent color for the hood / roof. We'll see. There are loads of videos of this process, and it seems relatively easy especially with the included sprayer and reversible. My main purpose is to protect against tree limbs, etc. on the trails. I am going to do my extra set of summer rims come spring when the weather warms up as well. Keep us all posted. Excited to see the results.

I guess you could, but it literally takes 5 seconds to get it out of the way.

I saw that video of them doing the clear on that GLK and honestly it looked awesome. I'm doing it for that exact same reason, my paint is already destroyed from the trails, looks worse than my buddies 98 lol.
Looks like I'll be waiting til spring to do it, I'm going to wait til this winter passes, so I can give it a good wash and than spray!

I don't really frequent the 5th gen section, but I'm glad I made a stop over here and saw your build bumped to the top. Tons of great functional mods and a great looking rig! Really stoked you found those seat-back Molle panels as I've been searching for a non-jeep equivalent myself over the last month or so. I'm just gunna have to get some now....

Thank you thank you! I really like the dirt duster as well. One of the builds thats making me want to pick up a 3rd gen, but I'm not sure if that would be the smartest idea lol.

I just wanted to tell you Andrew that your 4Runner is just amazing. I mean this has to be the first thread I've read all 25+ pages since my All-Motor B18 days. Your truck is an inspiration to many and a dream to even more. Literally, Jaw-Dropping. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see what's next!

Excellent find Andrew! :hatsoff: I've been wanting something like this forever but just haven't done enough research to find anything I really liked...these seem perfect though. I just placed an order for a couple sets and will be digging through Amazon and Ebay for some cheap pouches. :hungry:

Not til the spring, I've heard its a bad idea to dip in the cold as the dip ends up streaking.
But I'll post up some pics tomorrow of my new trunk setup :frog:

If the plastidip dries anything like undercoat does, I'd definitely wait till it warms up a bit. Undercoat for my awning mounts took like 3 days and I'm still not convinced that it was 100% dry. I just got giddy, and will most likely be taking it off and repainting it later on.

Hey dude, how long did it take to get your Shrockworks bumper? My Canadian broker quoted me 6-12 months :jaw:

Wow - I hate waiting for stuff, especially anything over a month, haha. I may have to either put on an ugly ARB or try to fab my own! I'll have to give Shrockworks a call.
