Adjusting Rear Brakes

Does anyone know the best / easiest way to adjust the rear brakes?

My pedal seems to be travelling further down lately and i'd like to bring it up higher.

Thanks for your help.

You can do it two ways, 1. jack up rear of vehicle (safety 1st!) pop out oval rubber plug (I think it's near the bottom of backing plate) use a screwdriver to roll adjuster wheel till shoes just start to drag on drum. Do both wheels. 2. If your parking brake works, travel in reverse and pull handbrake hard to stop vehicle, do this a few times till pedal feels harder (higher) Also do this in a parking lot (police or others may think your drunk!) P.S. where in Ontario?

Thanks!

I'll try the parking brake thing first.

I'm in Elora - just up the road from you in Brantford. Work in Kitchener.
