Adjustment bolts for LCA

Question,

Mechanic said adjustment bolts on the lower control arms were seized so they couldn't adjust for castor on my alignment. The vehicle drives ok, so I'm not too concerned, but would like to have it done right if possible.

Would some PB Blaster applied regularly have any chance of freeing up bolts? Any other ideas?

Do a search, this is very common and you'll get lots of results on the search. Usually people end up cutting them out and replacing. That is an expensive job, however.

Yep, I have searched it and that is what I have found. Guess I was wondering if I used PB Blaster whether I would be wasting my time or have a shot of loosening them up.

I am in the same boat. The front 2 cam alignment bolt sleeves are seized with the bushing sleeves and can not be rotated on my 4Runner. I am debating whether I'll do the job myself or get someone else to do the job. Keep me posted on what you end up doing.

just went through it. dealer said same thing. brought it home and soaked everything with PB. waited 1 hr, soaked it again, waited 1 hr. went out and 3 freed up with no effort. 1 took a little longer but freed up. took one bolt out at a time and put anti-seize on the bolts. took it back to the dealer for an alignment. they were shocked that i was able to get them free.

Yeah those cam bolts get rusted/corroded sometimes. Interesting factoid I learned via some TSB about alignment and vehicle drift diagnostics... Toyota has some off-set Cam bolts for is the stock cams bottom out before you can align the vehicle... Could use some on my truck, barely got it in spec even with UCA on the caster/camber bias.
