Part Number? OEM Front LCA, front and rear bolts, etc.

Hi everyone,

I want to replace my front lower control arms on my 08 V6 with 345k miles. I am going to stick with OEM parts.

Does anyone have a complete list of parts to replace the lowers?

I have the following so far:
48069-0D250 - Front lower LCA left
48068-0D250 - Front lower LCA right

What about the front and rear bolts, washers and nuts? I assume the mounting hardware for one side is duplicated for the other side and are not side specific.

My hardware doesn't look terrible so I am not sure if people just replace the bolts (front and rear) and reuse nuts, washers, etc.

I reused all my old bolts and everything except for my cam alignment and toe alignment bolts. The sleeve was stuck inside the front of mine and I couldn’t get it out.

Luckily I had bought 2 sets of SPC alignment bolt sets and used those to get me finished. I’m definitely not saying they are superior, better/worse, or of any quality, but they got me going and I’ve screwed with them a fair amount fine tuning my suspension and had a couple alignments due to me raising/lowering, new tires and such.

I don’t see why you’d have to replace any other bolts. The only other thing I had to replaced was the cotter pins on both of my lower Ball Joint as they were pretty rusted (they got all the road salt apparantly) and I couldn’t get them out and they just broke. I wound up just hammering the socket on the Castle nuts and unscrewing with my impact.

Here’s a breakdown for the LCA’s and such. Your part #’s for the LCA’s definitely won’t fit mine, so I’d punch in your info and VIN# into a Toyota website and make sure they fit. I like Toyota parts deal.com for that.

I’m also attaching a breakdown for the lower front LCA’s. the part#’s I listed for the LCA’s have the front/rear bushings and the Lower Ball joints already in them so nothing else you’d need provided your stock alignment cam bolts aren’t seized, but there’s a good chance they are and may want to have on hand at time of installation.

The price I am seeing from an online US Toyota dealer running a sale is $548 inc tax for both lower control arms. Seems like a decent price for both from what I can tell.

I attached the diagram you provided. Assuming those are the correct part numbers for my truck, what specific parts tend to get stuck?

I assume it would be the inner bolts that have a cam and nut all as one piece? Is that correct? I circled those as 3 and 4 in the attached diagram.

That picture may have been kind of a generic picture. I posted that up just kind of for reference.

Each bolt basically consists of 3 parts, the Camber and the Toe. The large barrels/Ferrules on the left are what like to get seized inside the bushing.

My bolts could still be aligned and moved, but when pulling my old LCA off, one the the ferrules was seized inside. The rest of the bolts were really rusted bad.

Finally got the lower control arms replaced. The truck has 350k miles on it. From what I can tell they were the original ones. None of the hardware was seized but since I ordered all new cams and bolts I installed them. Now I need to find an alignment shop local to me.
