Don't know about the others, but I wasn't "dissing" it, I just don't consider something that minor as note worthy.

And why do people only seem to do the rear diff?.

The front diff and tranny have breathers too. Aren't you worried about water in them?

On 3rd and 4th gen 4runners, the front differential is already extended into the engine bay... i am not sure about the older 4runners. The transfer case and transmission breathers are high enough for most off-road use...they are at the top of the respective case. This is why the rear diff breather should be at the top of every off-roader's modification list.

I agree. I think it's an important mod and one that is probably more useful for an occasional 4-wheeler than a snorkel is for a hard-core wheeler.

I have all of the parts in my garage finally to do the dif breather mod here in the next couple of weeks. Then it is going proudly in my sig between my 20% window tint and color-keyed front grill!

I feel most of the regular members are seeing this thread and I will give a 1 WEEK warning to shrink 'em up within the rules or we'll do it.

I hope us mods don't make enemies (since we aren't trying to) but the rules have been in place and some have been laxed or not paid attention to by members and mods alike so we are going to fix that to make this a better place to visit.

Just the opposite, I think if the staff would enforce the rules, IMHO it make you all look better, you set the rules, and you enforce them, gaines much more respect IMO.

thai, im not dissing the breather extender at all... i just dont think that EVERY member here needs to say "oh i went out and bought 3$ worth of parts and that makes my "rig" super awesomeo" or the deck plate mod, i mean sure it works (supposedly, still havent seen a dyno sheet) and yes, i actually DID have the deck plate mod before i went and got a snorkel and i DO have my breathers extended and my engine bay water proofed.

its good to see people get excited about the trucks but come on, who really cares if someone went out and spent 50$ on leds and spent an hour putting them in every hole they coudl find? i think the one thing this forum REALLY needs is a "garage" subforum that other users are not allowed to post on. perhaps even make it to where thats a standard part of the signature so you can just click it if you want to see what they have done.

but until this thing is settled im leaving up my pictures, it boosts my ego and makes me think my truck is the mostest bad assed...

I hate to remind some people (AGAIN!) that this forum is for everyone, not just for off-roaders. What is important to you may be worthless to the next member...and vice versa. You may not care about the LED conversions, but other members may not care that you are selling your Eclipse navigation system nor appreciate that you are selling stuff via your signature.

RunnerUp, your signature clearly violates the rule...and therefore will be taken down within one week's time. Regardless of the poll result, you have violated the rule blatantly. I understand your action...and this is why i am backing off for one week so that you can get your message across. Consider this your 1 week warning.

Very cool. I absolutely have no problem with your advertisement...it is your own personal stuff that you're selling, not some company stuff. I was only saying that as an example.

IMO I like when sigs are really short. It makes it easier to read through threads without having to scroll through loads of mod lists. If mods were written across the page and not down the page it would clean things up and you could get them all listed without taking up lots of space.

True. However the rules have to be enforced across all levels (Member, Mod, Admin). If all levels are not punished for failure to adhere to the rules, then what good are they.

I actually like the lists of mods in the sig. Being relatively new (>100 posts) to this forum, I'm still looking for mods. One day, i'll be browsing a thread and see a member with a link (if they have it) to a certain mod in his sig. I can go back to any post that member has made and just click the link instead of having to search for it (maybe i'm lazy...who knows? haha) or I can just send them a PM. Smaller text could help tone it down like RonMAIDEN suggested.

As for the pictures, I'm a member of another forum that only allows sigs to be 100 pixels tall, so I'd say that sounds good. Like others have said, we're proud of our rigs and we'd like to show them off a little.

Use the sizing coding found on the reply screen and just apply it to your sigs just like you'd do with the colors and fonts.

size=1 with [ ] around it and [/size] on the other side of your mods list will shrink it down.
