Nice work Ray. How hard was the splash guard install? I'd like to at least do the rear ones since the factory ones make a rattle I can hear in the cab at 70 mph, but I'm also better at wiring than things like that. Fairly simple?

Earlier this summer I did a few things to get Megaweapon ready for my Nevada trip, before I had to cancel it. The splash guards in both front wheel wells were completely shot, so I replaced them with a new set from Rad Rubber Designs. These appear to be better quality material than the originals, and the fasteners they provide hold them in place without the annoying squeak of the originals.

It was simple enough that even an idiot like me could do it. I'm not very mechanically minded and generally dislike wrenching but this is one of the very few mods that I did myself.

Some good news... Last month Cris’ kidney function actually went up a bit, from 13% to 14%. She had labs done again last week, and her kidney function is still holding steady at 14%. Also they've been giving her injections for the anemia, and now her energy level is much, much better. So things are looking a lot less grim, at least for now. Back in August it looked like she might only have a few months left. She's still in end-stage renal failure and that's not likely to change but at least she's not in a rapid decline.

Another bit of good news… I’ve been having some issues with an irregular heart beat since April, but it’s finally getting under control. I don’t have to see the cardiologist again for another six months.

Last Friday my wife and I had our 38th anniversary. As is our usual tradition, we loaded up a ton of toys, games, and art supplies and donated them to the Salvation Army toy drive.

Afterwards we had dinner at Red Lobster.

A couple days later we went to Julian, CA and stayed in the "Honeymoon House" at the historic Julian Gold Rush Hotel:

Sadly, this will likely be our last anniversary. Cris is now starting on hospice care. Her kidney function held steady at 12% for most of last year but suddenly dropped down to 8%, which is not sustainable.

Ray, very sad to hear about your wifes condition, not much I can say other that Sorry. It is good to hear you were able to get some more lasting memories with her.
