Advice for friend looking to buy '95 4Runner

I dont know many details besides what I will list, he is gonna call to get more.


1995 toyota 4runner - $1500

need to sell asap
great condition
inside is mint condition
cd player
tinted windows
roof rack
alarm
remote starter
highway miles
reliable

Any advice would be appreciated...thanks a lot

A few things to look for

- Check to see if the head gasket work has been done or not (can't tell if it is a 4-cylinder or the V-6)

- Check for rust on the tailgate - try to look at it from the inside by removing the panel

- Make sure the power window on the tailgate works.

I traded my 95 SR5 V6 this week and picked up a 2005 SE (it's been on order for 3 weeks). Loved the 95 though, and miss it even though I have a new model. $1500 is a pretty good price.

For $1,500 I would write a check for that just from those pictures!!


Something like that sells for around $10K in BC, more with low mileage

IMHO get the vin and CARFAX it.

That will tell you the whole story. ALso, I bet it's a 4 banger SR5 with no options for that price, but CARFAX will tell you all that.

I think I see a V6 badge in that 2nd pic.....even a stripped 4 banger is a helluva deal for $1500 for a 95 tho....

Thanks for all the help and info...he is waiting to hear back from the seller so we shall see if its too good to be true.
