Advice needed on wheel/tire specs

Okay, so I think I’ve finally decided on the wheels I want (Fuel Cleaver), and they are available in 2 different offset options and I’m not sure which will look and fit best. For tires I’m planning to run KO2, Toyo Open Country ATII, or Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (choice will be mostly decided based on price at the time of ordering, but I’m leaning towards the KO2). I’m not planning to go crazy on the size, but figured it may be relevant to helping pick the correct offset, so the sizes I’m considering are:
265/70/17
255/75/17
Possibly 275/70/17
I’m strongly leaning toward the 255/75/17 mainly because it seems to be the best balance of slightly larger size, but not having the big mileage drop the others have. I was thinking since I’m going all new, I may as well go up a bit in size.
The specs on the wheels are 17x9”
One offset option is 1mm, which gives 5” backspace
The other is -12mm, which gives 4.5” backspace

So, which one will be the best overall fit? I don’t mind moving the fender liner a bit if needed, but I’d rather not get into removing the flaps, or cutting the body mounts if possible. I realize that the tall, skinny 255/75s are less likely to rub anyway, but I am worried they are too narrow for the 9” rims, so if anyone has run them on 9” rim width, I’d like to hear about that experience as well.

This is the wheel I’m looking at. It wasn’t originally one I was interested in until I saw them mounted on a black Jeep last week. They look really cool in person.

For minimal trimming and still a nice tire I would run the 275’s with the -1 offset. I ran 265’s on stock wheels and they cleared fine with no rubbing. Are you lifted at all?

Yes, I’m slightly lifted with what I believe are Tacoma springs in front, and OME 2895e springs in the rear. Just a clarification... the wheels have a +1mm offset, not -1, but that shouldn’t make much difference I wouldn’t think either way. I really wanted the 275 KO2s, but from what I’ve read they are only available in the E rated version which is a lot heavier than I need, or want. Hopefully I can get that size in the Toto’s or something with an SL, or C rate so they aren’t so heavy. I think I’m having a harder time picking tires than custom wheels! The 255/75/17 seems like the best compromise between size, mileage, etc., but I’m just afraid they’ll look too skinny with the 9” wheels on my truck.

Ok, so now, I’ve decided on the tires. I’m going with Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 265/70/17. I rolled them out to compare with what I’m currently running, and the scale looks perfect, the tread design is nice, and the price is good too. Now I just have to decide whether to stick with the +1mm offset, or the -12mm for the 17x9” rims I mentioned in the first post. Given the tires I’m getting, should I still stick with the 1mm offset, or would the -12mm give it a better stance?
