I could use some advice on where to go from here. TO make a long story short, I purchased a NEW 4Runner Sport 4x4 a while back. The day I purchased it it was overcast and raining, so I checked over the condition inside prior to doing the paperwork (I had already driven this exact vehicle more then once on previous days).
Anyway, it checks out fine so we negotiate to what I thought was fair. So, I agree to purchase the vehicle.
At this point, the vehicle is fine. I go in to do the paperwork and come out and it looks great. I leave the lot a happy guy.
That quickly changed when I got to my garage. The dealership put scratches all over this vehicle. Every panel is scratched up with what look like just an absurd amount of surface scratches. I mean we are talking about a lot. These were not there prior to me signing the paperwork. I looked inside the service garage for this exact thing as I couldn't see outside. When I got outside, it just looked nice and clean. Being overcast I just couldn't see them. I would not have left that lot with the vehicle like this.
So, I called him immediately and took it out there on that Monday. They want to buff them out. Like an idiot, I said okay. They didn't make the vehicle worse, but they didn't make it better either. The scratches are still there. Brand new vehicle and this.
What should I do from here? I mean this is ridiculous. I called and emailed the day I took delivery as I vented my frustrations after they closed. I just think this is ridiculous on a brand new vehicle.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
