Advice on TRD Supercharger purchase

Regarding new:
There's a special right now on bundling the supercharger with the 7th injector kit in case anyone was interested:
URD/Magnuson SUPER Combo, 5VZ 3.4L Supercharger System - Underdog Racing Development

$3,570.00 with free shipping. $300 less that if bought separately. Gotta save more on a new one and can't pull the trigger now. I'll probably wait until Black Friday or something for deals on just the sc. Is anyone running their sc with the 7th injector kit?

Yes, lots do. Check out the The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread thread. Don't read the whole thing though, that would take days... first page is really helpful though.

The 7th injector when tuned correctly, adds roughly 30ish HP on top of the supercharger system. It's not required, it runs fine without it. Unless you have all the tuning software, you'll only get that +30 HP at wide-open throttle, flooring it. Otherwise the stock ECU tunes out everything else in between. Most people are happy with just the supercharger since it really puts the engine where it should have been in the first place. Then there's people like me who are crazy/stupid and do all sorts of power mods with their supercharger.

Not with the supercharger as long as you have the CARB EO sticker. Lots of guys I know also pass with the 7th injector, even though it's not technically CARB approved.

The supercharger has no effect on the emissons tests at 15 and 25 mph, since you're not in boost so no extra fuel or air is going in due to the bypass valve.
