Can't provide feedback for the AEM specifically but I have a '99 with a K&N FIPK. I'm pretty happy with it at middle to top-end response but doesn't do much for bottom end. Many on yotatech feel that the "deckplate" mod is much better bang for your buck than an intake system.

I was considering purchasing the AEM Brute Force Intake for my '99. I have a friend that works at Summit Racing Equipment. I actually got a chance to check out the whole kit. It looks pretty nice, and everything you would need is included. They now come with a new filter, that is supposedly better than K&N. It might not be a bad investment. I wanted to buy it, but I needed to get new rotors and pads...so I am holding off for a bit.

I acutally installed the AEM Brute Force last week. Cost about $225 @ performancecenter.com. Easy install, looks and sounds GREAT, and I love the whole dryflow concept. Keeps that M.A.S. clean as a whistle. Great throttle body response, but no definite mpg increases/decreases. What sold me was the dryflow concept tho.

... I'm trying to be optomistic about it now. I wish I had known about T4R.org before I made the purchase, becuase from everything I read...the aftermarket systems are ALL for looks, which are solemnly praised in the first place seeing as its hidden under the hood. If I had read all the comments on the cheaper yet just as effective mods I most defintiely would not have spent so much damn money. I would like to thank you and the rest of the members on here for all the good advice and such. I really appreciate it. And now that I am "in the loop" persay, I'm hoping ya'll can help me in the future as you already have since my faulty mistake. Thanks again...
