Aftermarket exhaust....

Hello all. I just purchased my first Toyota 4Runner a few weeks ago. 2008 4.0 V6 4WD SR5. I'm thinking about putting an aftermarket exhaust on there, the only thing is I don't want it to sound like one of those Hondas running around at 2 AM waking everyone up. Anyone out one on and sound pretty decent. I want to make it sound beefy. I know it's a V6 but if anyone has it or knows someone. I'll take some input. Thanks!!!

i think the general population leans toward magnaflow. Esspecially for the V6. Some V8 owners lean to flowmaster.

I have a borla pro xs 40665 on my v6 and love the sound. not too ricey, but definately not stock.

i have the Gibson 18707 on mine. Not too ricey, definitely a little louder than stock but not too loud. Minor drone at highway, not really noticeable unless you're listening for it.

Whats a good single side exit V8 exhaust? Looking to just bolt something on instead of messing with welding in a new muffler to the old pipe and figuring out tip placement.

Thanks fo the input. Im still trying to decide if Im going to get it done. I had a V6 Explorer many years ago and after I put a magnaflow on it it sounded decent. not as good as I wanted it to, but afterall it was a V6....

gibson. thats it. its the perfect sound, no ricey, nice deep rumble, even from the v6. maybe one day ill do a sound clip

Ok, shot a quick sound clip tonight for you. This is in park with my phone sitting on a cooler about a foot or so from the tip. Turning on, rev to 1600rpm, back to idle then rev to 2000rpm. Hope it helps!

at first glance i was thinking that that you got a full exhaust system for $100!:reddance:
