Haven’t done a diagnostic. Since I don’t know how to do that lol. Drive it for about 20 miles and the tpms doesn’t show up but the gauges do, it’s kinda weird. It is up to date on firmware so who knows.

Yes all of the readouts work. I didn't do anything special other than to hook it up to the OBDII unit.

Did anyone have fitment issues with the double din head unit and the opening in the dash kit for the outer face area of the radio? I am using the Scosche kit and there needs to be a good 1/8" trimmed off the inside edge of the dash kit before the radio would fit well. I don't want to hack it up too badly but a quick trim of the mold flashing didn't really help much. This is an off brand radio so that is probably why. The left side has a small volume knob that is also interfering.
I had an Xtrons head unit (Android based) and those do not fit the trim kits. The Pioneer head units fits just fine.

Ok. The Maestro RR apparently only works with certain radios as well. Trying to do this for wife's Mothers day present. At least the backup camera works. I think I found a Kenwood touch screen for sale locally that is compatible with iDatalink. Was trying to do this on the cheap but it backfired as usual.

Looks like the Alpine Ilx-107 has been discontinued and I'm looking to upgrade because I want wireless CarPlay.
Any experience with Pioneer or Kenwood? I've always been an Alpine man but they don't have a good replacement.

Installed a Kenwood DNR876S a few months ago. Very happy with it. Wireless CarPlay. I did a write up on the unit and added functions you get with Maestro RR compatible headunit, such as vehicle performance info and updating vehicle setting that normally require Techstream or dealer

Hi, I'm looking into options for my 2018... wondering if you needed an adapter for the Alpine ILX-107 to use the steering wheel controls?

Think you need an adapter to use steering wheel controls with any aftermarket head unit.
Easy thing to do is go to the Crutchfield website, enter your vehicle model and options, search for the Alpine ILX-107, and checkout all of the available kits they show. You can drill into the kits to see the individual parts they include. The kits with iDatalink Maestro are nice because that also gives you additional gauges and data, but there are less expensive adapters as well.
