Aftermarket key fobs

Don’t remember the brand I got but it cost around $40 at AutoZone it looks exactly like the original fob and works perfectly. I got replacements on Amazon as well at one point and they worked for a time but eventually stopped after about a year but I spent like $15 for 2 of them so it’s not bad. But I recommend the AutoZone replacement one I’ve had it for well over a year now and it works great.

Does the little trunk button control the back window like the original fob does?

Yes. I have the same one for my 06. You hold the trunk button and the window goes down.

Key Fob

I bought a Dorman one on Amazon last year. It looks like the original and was easy to swap the internal parts into the new case.

I just noticed something. I have 2 keys.. 1 gray and 1 black . The gray can open manual rear window but black can't. I need using gray to program. Is that why it doesn't work?

I started out with getting those flip keys but never really got along with them. Bought a HYQ12BBY key for a Camry to see what would happen and of course it didn’t work. Then finally found a HYQ12BBX of the same style that worked but didn’t have the trunk button. Last night I swapped everything from the good key to the Camry key and voila, now I have the best key ever made for 4th gens. Comfortable and compact!

I will add the trunk button on mine does roll down the back window on my 4runner too. Don't think I made that clear in my last post hah
