Hi...

My 4R was recently stolen and I am going to have the in dash replaced. I am looking into after market units.

Can someone guide me to what they think will accommodate my needs?

Looking for features:

- App friendly
- Solid GPS interface.
- SMS Display on the screen
- 7" in size.
- Easy Ipod interface
- Voice command for music and phone operations.

Pioneer AVIC-z130bt

I have the smaller sibling to this radio, and the interface is extremely straightforward. ipod integration, BT, GPS, and a 7" touchscreen.

I hear good things about the 130BT

Anything that you don't like or troubles you about it?

Also, how's the voice command for phone dialing and playing tunes? Works well or not good?

I don't have voice command on my model radio. But my other driver which is an '07 Benz CLK-550 does. And you generally never use it. Its a cool feature, but i just never use it lol.

And I dont have really any bad points on that radio. At most, The bluetooth takes maybe 20 seconds after bootup to connect and thats about it. The bluetooth phone is pretty good and I always use that. Side note if you do get anything that requires a mic: Mount the microphone on the roofliner right over the rear view mirror. Not the easiest to run the wire but generally worth it. Also you will need a wiring harness for steering wheel controls. I got mine installed for about $70 at a shop so not too bad.

Also my security face is easier to detach and keep with em since it is a 1" by like .25" block. on the one you are looking at its the entire front I believe.

You will like that radio. The gps is very accurate, and it is not hard to punch in addresses. also has coordinates input but i wouldn't recommend it for off road mapping.

I am actually going to wait for their new model to be released (AVIC-Z150BH) since it will have the new iPhone connector support. This will be beneficial for when the wife upgrades to the next iPhone.

I was really hoping to find a unit that displays TXT/SMS but only seems to be available on new factory in dash unit. Such as Entune.
