aftermarket shock/struts tokico, billstein, kyb?

i plan on having this truck for a long time. I'm willing to sacrifice on a slightly stiffer ride..note i said sligghtly. I've had kyb's on my other cars. Anyone feel there is a better aftermarket strut. please help

We have at least one 3rd gen and IIRC 2 4th gen people use the KYB GR2's as an OE replacement. They seemed very pleased with the ride etc. The bang-for-the-buck factor on the KYB's is very good IMHO. www.shockwarehouse.com


The other suggestions are all good but if it's a DD and you're trying to do it right and save a buck the KYB's might be the right answer.

The KYB's are more like an OE replacement. They are a twin tube "regular" shock. The Bilstien is more sporty...

you can get shocks depending on what kind of ride you want, i mean bilsteins come in in reg, heavy duty, 5100 , etc. so im sure its the same with the kyb. i had em on my stang & they were real firm & "sporty".
