yea, i'll see how long much longer i can wait. But like i said, the sooner i know how big my car note is, then sooner i'll know how much i'll have for rent...

BTW, Cory put in a request for a special order for me to Toyota, and is waiting for them to accept/reject. He wants me to let him know if i find a 4R locally, and to let him know to cancel my request...thanks

Kool deal. Cory is great, actually the BEST. Without a doubt, I'm getting all my future Toyota's through him. My cousin spent countless weeks when he bought his Camry, only one dealer was able to beat Cory's price by $200. IMO not worth the time and effort as tomhaney1 mentioned.

It might take a while to get a response, it was somewhere between 4-6 weeks from the time I told Cory what I was looking for and when he got confirmation that Toyota accepted the order.

For now, my recommendation is assume you'll be spending more for the 4runner and budget a bit less for rent. Unless the amount for rent makes a big difference between a good and bad neighborhood.

I bought my Sport Edition at City Toyota in Daly City, they had a ton of v8s when I was there a few weeks ago. It is all the way down here in the Bay Area though

it doesn't look like any of the local dealers are jumping at the opportunity to acquire the 4Runner for me and give me a good deal.

i'm thinking of just waiting to see how the new grille on the 2008's look, and possibly special order one.........that, or wait for teh 08's and buy an 2007 for cheaper...
