Back in May my soon to be ex-wife took my '08 4Runner to best buy to have a new head unit installed as a surprise re-deployment present. When I got back to the states in September I noticed that my AC would blow out cold air ONLY if it was set to low. If I bumped the temp up to 65 or any other temp it will only blow out cold air. I talked to some guys from Best Buy and they gave me the run around saying it was not their fault, they do not touch the AC or anything to do with the AC. I have had the Toyota guys look at it, they only made it about half way through the diagnostic before calling it a day, but they seem to think it is the actuator, and told me it would range between $700 - & $1,000 to fix. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any idea what it may be?
