air conditioning

The A/C on my '92 4-runner has stopped working. Nothing happens when I hit the A/C button on the dash. I have checked the circuit breaker and the fuse behind the dash - they are in good order. Don't know if it's important but the truck has the 22re and 5-speed manual transmission. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Yes, the light does come on.

Maybe your low on freon. There is a low pressure shutoff.
