Air freshener question

I like the smell of cleaned clothes so I was wondering about putting a lint dryer sheet into my new cabin air filter that's arriving today

Just wondering if this is dangerous in any way and/ or if it's just dumb? Would poking holes in it for breathability make it any less dangerous?
I have a 5th gen if that makes any difference

Would hiding some sheets throughout the truck be as effective/better?

I just usually fold them up and place under the seats. You can also fold them in a way so that you can place them in the air vent screens so they will not fall in. Fresh and clean.

i did not know this was a thing. how many sheets do you use per section?

I’ve always put them under the seats too. They don’t last terribly long, it’s easy to swap out if needed.
