Air/Fuel Sensor Replacement

Hi all,

Trying to help a buddy. Have a 2005 V8 Runner with P0171 and P0174 codes. Picked up some air/fuel sensors and O2 sensors to give that a shot. Anyone have any replacement write ups or videos? Couldn't find anything on YouTube. Is the V8 install different from the V6?

Thank you!

I to am in this boat. I have a p2195 code. Mechanic says it is right bank Fuel air sensor.
If you look a couple threads down from this one there is some info about where the sensors go. Its a diagram of a v8 i believe. I asked a question in this thread. Its an old one i found.
I was wondering if v8 and v6 are the same also.....

I have a 2004 v6.

2005 V8 Limited: P2195 Sensor Location

I have a 2005 V8 sport. I changed the Bank 2 Sensor 1 Air/fuel sensor (Passenger side) last weekend. I didn't change any others. No pics, but it was a little more difficult than I assumed when first looking at it.....i'm no mechanic. The Bank 2 Sensor 2, is extremely easy to get to. I didn't even look at the Driver's side sensors.
I borrowed an O2 sensor socket from AutoZone. Took the Passenger side front wheel off, so I could unplug the sensor. I couldn't torque the socket loose from the wheel well or the engine bay, although you can reach it from both. Mine was stuck pretty bad. I ended up using portion of the jack crank handle and a hammer to knock the sensor socket loose from under the truck.
I used this video to get an idea of the sensor I was working on:
