Great, thanks for the feedback. I will go w/ the 1000s.
I would be interested to know where you located the air valves on your 4Runners, so that they are convenient yet sort of protected?
I located mine on the left rear bottomside of the bumper. So far it's working out fine.
Also, any other gotchas to be aware of other than keep away from exhaust heat?
Tips: 1) Run both lines toward the center of the axle and then up to the body. It's the easiest way to ensure that at full travel you won't pull a line. If you don't go to the center first you have to leave so much loose line it'll just end up snagging or kinking. 2) Decide whether 2 fills or one fill is right for you. I chose two. Two allows for right to left leveling and better on pavement handling (less bodyroll). 3) By going to the center and then up (then left) with the lines you will clear the exhaust just fine... 4) Consider installing as mmjmeade did... Upside down: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/56337-another-fj-suspension-done.html 5) Trim about 1" less off of the rubber cone than Airlift suggests. It has worked great for me and I have no regrets. IMHO if you trim as Airlift suggests the bag will be a bit a bit short and not work quite as well.
Thanks,
Mike
