Air-lift 1000 with lift springs

I recently just completed a pop-up camper/quad hauler trailer. It pulls nice but with all the gear + the trailer, the rear end squats pretty good. I want to get a set of air lift 1000's to help when we are loaded up, but wanted to know if the standard kit will work with my lift springs. I'm only running about 2" of lift over stock with a set of OME895's. Thanks for any advice you can give.

They suggest taller airbags. The part number they gave me, and has worked perfectly for my Toytec Superflex's is 60728. Call them up, they know their stuff.

Try the firestone coil rite, easier installation, no need to use those clamp type fitting that airlift use.

Thanks for the replies, I've emailed airlift to see what bags they suggest. I'm also looking into the Firestone bags, I deff see the benefits of the push lock connectors.

Airlift recommends kit# 60792 for my 4th gen set up with OME springs.

-This kit appears to be for a 03-06 Kia Sorento.
-I measured 5 1/8" diameter on the inside of my OME springs, and about 9" from lower spring mount to upper spring mount at ride height.

I thought I search somewhere and it came up to use landcruiser airbags, I maybe wrong tho, give a deeper search.

OP you are probably right, the 895s are a bit shorter than the Superflexes. I had 895E before I had these, real world its about an inch and a half when unloaded. The landcruiser airbags are the ones recommended for +3 inches in the back, 895s are supposed to yeild something like 2.5. Once again, those are the 895E, so i would double check with measurements but whatever airlift recommends is what you want to go with.

Yea, some of my research showed to use the land cruiser kit too. According to airrlift, and my specs, they say to use the Kia bags. Like you said, it probably does have to do with the differences in spring heights. I'm going to order the kit in the next couple weeks. Once I get it in, I'll update the post for future searchers.

I run OME HD 3in springs with air bags to counter the weight of my KTM hanging off the back as well as camping gear. With the bike on the back it has a normal stance and my headlights are still on the road. Note wheel gap.

I made a spacer that fits inside the spring. Air bags are perhaps overkill, well defiantly over kill ha.

It's been a great adventure rig and you forget the bikes back there but I made the mistake of parking next to a decked out Sprinter van moto hauler out in Colorado this summer and fell in love.

The global expedition vehicle in the first pix would be nice but ....... no winning lotto number yet.
Now she up for sale in classified section here - CL was a nightmare, can't get that dream van till she out of the garage. Have not even asked about trade and will try autotrader next. No major hurry - just gives more time to $ave.
