Air Lift or Ride-Rite/Firestone on 2017 4RUNNER?

I’d like to add helper airbags to the rear coils of my 2017. Just like to be able to get a bit of extra help when towing. It appears that I’ve got two options Air Lift, though they don’t show a direct fitment, it appears the consensus is that the 60809 is the kit to use? Or Ride-Rite/Firestone 4135 which is listed as a direct fit. What are the opinions on these? Other than color, is there a difference in quality between the two? I was quoted the same price for either kit so it’s a wash there. Like to know what those of you with more experience in these think. Any insight is appreciated.

AirLift are really responsive and will sell you an exact size to fit your spring if you email them and have a measurement of your spring.

I've got Airlift in my 2015 and I really like them. I tow a trailer at 3400lbs fully loaded and it gets rid of all sag. Easy as hell to install too.

Just an update, I ended up going with Air Lift. Our local dealer/installer said the kit for the 2017 SR is the 60809. I know a lot of folks here have said that’s what they’ve used. But, just wanted to confirm that our local off-road shop that’s been around for about 28-years and is an authorized dealer/installer of Air Lift confirmed it is the correct kit for my 2017 SR5.

Hey there, noticed this thread and trying to order my airlift tonight. Did we get a confirmation that the Airlift 60809 fits a 16 SR5? Wanting to double check before I do order. Thanks!

Both are 5th gen so my guess is yes.

I put airlift in my T-bird and it worked OK. The hose connections left a little to be desired. Had to put air on a regular basis.

If/when I put them on my runner, I'll try Firestone.

Forsure, so was the leak from the hose being chafed or from the fitting into the bag itself?

Rear sag

I have a 2019 4Runner Off Road, buying a toy hauler that weighs in around 4500 loaded. I know our vehicles max towing weight is 5000. Im I going to need to put some air bags in the rear so the vehicle will ride level? Do I need something else?

I don't see that the 4 Runners come with E-Brake, can this be installed?

Prior to installing mine on my 2014 & 2021, I called Airlift and they suggested 60819 on 2014 & 60919 on 2021 kit after giving them the spring dia and length. I think the 60919 is an updated kit.
