Haha! I'm not scared of dents and scratches. As you can see I left softopper off cause I AM scared of tearing that up.

I'm glad I got the chance to join a small group, it was a lot of fun. I imagine the trails get clogged up during open rides.

Haha I don't blame you. Those things aren't cheap. I'm considering one for my Dodge right now since I need the truck bed to be useable still but don't want to buy a fiberglass camper shell and have to take it on and off.

That place isn't too bad during a big ride. Listen for where the woopows are being thrown down and just go the other way.

Speaking of clogged up...are you going to Uwharrie on closing weekend?

FWIW I love the softopper, it is so versatile and easy to take off and put on.

Not sure about closing weekend. I'll be there this Friday with some friends.

Gave glam a bath yesterday

Deleted the EGR today, only vacuum line remaining is the charcoal canister. Also fixed my throttle cable, got the slack out of it. Have to get used to the gas pedal again.

Don't mind the looped lines, I need more plugs.

Whoah nelly, i just saw that TG housing in there...i've missed a lot. thats a sweet build man, how are you liking the 8.4 rear? i've been debating rear axle options. do you think that's a worthwhile upgrade over the 8"? I'd really like to go FJ80 rear but the offset diff is a big issue

Thanks buddy. I have not had time to swap the rear, hopefully next weekend. The diff is a little bigger than the older 8", my main reason for buying it was more width. The main issue with the FJ 80 rear is the driveshaft clearance with the offset diff. The guy I bought the taco axle from is now running an 80 rear without an offset tcase and no issues. The 9.5 diff is a great upgrade. Of course one option is a diamond rear housing with a centered 9.5 diff.

Not that I know of. My friend has an 80 rear axle with a mini truck tcase in his Tacoma and hasn't spoken of any issues. He gets it up to 75 on the highway too. The main issue is driveshaft clearance, i.e. your gas tank.

Here is my friend's Tacoma I'm talking about. FJ80 rear, W56 trans with dual mini truck cases with FJ60 front axle (9.5" diff, same as the rear)

wow thats clean! and you say he doesnt get vibes on the highway? do you know if the e-brake cable connects up or if it needs to be modified?
I've been wanting to do the f-150 gas tank swap anyway, which would make this axle swap very doable.....:guitar3:

Not that he has mentioned. I don't know about the ebrake cables. Driveline ebrake FTW :thumb:

Not much to update for the Glamrunner. I bought a quart crate from artec, so my oil and coolant will stop flying around.

I bought a 1st gen pickup grill eBay. Going to retrofit it when I get time

Been busy on my Tacoma. Got some 285/75r17 nitto trail grapplers, and the rear diff is getting regeared from 3.73 to 4.56 with a TrueTrac. I need a harness for the 4wd ADD, regear the front diff, and then I can start my 4wd conversion.

your the first i've seen to run that tire size and i applaud you, i think that's an awesome size! i wish they made a 37" tall, 11.5" wide tire....would be perfect for toyotas

Yup there aren't many out there and people always confuse it with 285/70r17, that gets annoying when trying to research it. I love them. I had to chop my cab mounts to make them fit but it was worth it.

Finally got the 8.4 axle ready. TG perches and diff guard, TMR Customs shock mounts
