Finished waterproof connector and TechFlex on the new light. This light is slightly wider (about 3/8") than the old bar and my brackets on the Gobi are already extended out all the way. I'm gonna have to figure out another way to get the bar in without wedging it inbetween the brackets with extreme force. Still not completely happy with the mount on the Gobi, but I think it was intended for straight bars more specifically.

The 255's have been great so far. On road ride is great, and offroad they have not let me down yet. They looked awefully skinny to me on the stock wheels, but with the new wheels and offset I really love the stance and the way they look.

Following up to this question now that it's been some time. I'm new to modding trucks and was looking for info on tire set ups. What had you go with the 255 and are you still enjoying them? I'm not going to be off reading much at all, so curious your thoughts having them now. I usually go as wide as possible

Thanks for any insight. And your build is beautiful. I really wanted super white and the hubby wanted mag gray. Ultimate deciding factor was what was available during dealer locate. Mag gray was 3 days out and white was 4-6 weeks for a trail. I lost, lol.

Just want to say I have been eyeing 5th gens and wanting to obviously go the black wheels route on a white vehicle, but this vehicle has completely changed my view. In short whenever you want to sell this beauty let me know!

Main reason I wen't with 255's was I liked the lighter weight and cheaper price VS 285 and just to be different. Still running great with them. Unfortunatly I haven't been able to really get them off road much. I'm hoping to finally get a few offroad trips in this summer and really put them through their paces.

I'll try to get a measurement for you this weekend. If I recall correctly when checking clearance before ordering the GOBI my garage is ~80" tall and I clear it by about an inch.

Thought I'd just post a little update. For those who haven't seen my thread, I'm leaving Friday for a 10 day trip to SW Colorado's San Juan Mountains. It's been a busy last few weeks trying to get the trip planned and my vehicle prepped for some trails and anything I may encounter while up there!

Well I just wanted to say I made it safely back from our trip to CO and the San Juan Mountains. We had an amazing time, got in some good trails and managed to do some other fun stuff while we were in the Durango\Silverton area.

The 4Runner was amazing and handled the road trip and high trails of the mountains like a champ. So far I've noticed I only escaped with a minor nick in one wheel. Not bad for a 2100 mile road trip!

I've got hundreds of photos and GoPro timelapses to go through, but a bit of a cold bug keeping me under the weather at the moment. I hope to get through it all and post of some pics and more details of our trip by this weekend. In the mean time here's a little sneak peak from the top of Imogene!

Timelapse from some of the Alpine loop from Silverton CO. Started in Silverton and took the loop up to Animas Forks then over California Pass and down through Corkscrew Gulch. Didn't get the GoPro out until just after the forks heading towards California Pass summit.

Was recorded on my GoPro Hero 4 Black using the Timelapse mode in 4K. Uploaded 4K to YouTube but I am no happy with the YouTube quality at the moment. May try re-uploading the raw footage without converting it first.

I'm having my Gobi rack installed in 1 week. I live in Denver, so it's a local install for me. I'm putting a 2x6" Flood LED on each side, as well as 2 on the back. I want to put a 40" spot/flood combo on the front. Gobi only sells Rigid, and I can't justify 2k worth of lights when I use them once, or maybe twice a month camping. I have a few questions I could really us a hand with if you don't mind.

What brand/model is your second installation? Are you still happy with it?

If you don't mind me asking, by the time you spent the money on the additional quality wiring harness and circuit breakers, sealant etc, what was your total cost of installation?

Last, do you have any examples/wiring diagrams of how you've wired them into your 4runner and run the lines? I've done a lot of home wiring, but never automotive, so I'm a bit leery of doing it myself without any examples to look at.
