All cleaned up and no where to go

Got out of work early and decided to clean up my T4R. Just did a basic wash, nothing special. Full detail will happen this weekend. White looks so nice when clean but man it does show dirt. Good thing is it cleans up easy with just a basic paint cleaner and then a good polish. I use Turtle Wax Ice polish and Blue Coral paint cleaner. The BC paint cleaner is clear coat safe and removes all but the deepest ground in dirt. If it doesn't come off with the BC by hand then break out the buffer. Ice polish has to be the easiest polish I've ever used and lasts a good long time. You can even use it on the black trim. I use it on all my vehicles.

Washing reminds me that the truck I still owe money on has scratches, dents, and surface rust.

I only do it in winter.

No scratches yet but I did get a nice rock chip right on the edge of the roof on the passenger side from a rock a semi kicked up. Actually kinda glad it hit the roof and not the windshield. At least I can use touch up paint on that.

Yeah I would rather that than a cracked windshield too! I noticed the giant paint chip in the last pic but didn't want to say anything incase you hadn't noticed. :biggrin1:

I leave the mud and dirt on my runner to protect the paint. When I wash it off I noticed a lot of brand new redneck pin stripes.

Looks good but I gotta disagree with you here. I feel like with white, you can get away with a lot more dirt than most colors. Coming from a black car, I feel like my Runner is always clean.

White is much easier to take care of than a black car. Black looks stunning when clean but it doesn't stay that way long. White stains easily but the good thing is with a little paint cleaner the dirt comes out easily.

So true with white. When I had the white 4th gen, there were times when I washed it and thought to myself, "oh shit, I guess it WAS dirty." With the mag grey it looks dusty the next day.

A Few Rules For OFF ROAD Designed Trucks:

1. A dirty truck is a happy truck.
2. Damage to paint before it is paid for are to be expected.
3. Four wheel drive is there to be used.
4. Traction control is there to be used.
5. Low range and manual shift are your friends.
6. If you have to use the brake you're in the wrong gear.

Now that it is all prettied up - come on out to northern Nevada and try it out - Tens of thousands of square miles of BLM land; no fences; no "No Trespassing" signs; no gates; absolutely no traffic; I generally drive all day without seeing another vehicle or human being.

Your truck is beautiful; mine looked that way for the first four days and then I put some real rubber under it.
