What kind of backspacing do you have to run the 295s?

295s are a cool size, but I wouldn't buy them because hardly anyone makes them and you are limited to like 2 choices. Toyo is the only company I've found that makes them in an M/T and they are stupid expensive. Does anyone know if there are more choices that I'm not aware of in this size?

Lift looks good, but the front end is too high for my taste. Lower it an inch or a little more and it'll ride better and look better.
Definately go with 285/75's. They'll fit all stock wheels, and most tire shops should install them without throwing a fit. If you don't get your speed sensor re-calibrated the speedo will be off quite a bit, and your mileage won't be accurate. But besides that you'll still have decent power and won't feel too doggy. I'd go 285/75 every day over something bigger. They seem to be the perfect size: small enough that you don't have to re-gear....big enough to look nice and give some function ground clearance and off road ability.

O.K. I just bought a '99 SR5 Sport 4wd for my sixteen year old, and just joined the forum to learn a little, and this thread grabbed me. Don't know too much about the 4R just yet, but see some discussion on tires. Lost af folks talking about the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Great tire, but like someone mentioned, not the most aggressive looking. Check out their new Trail Grappler. Midway between the terra's and the mud grappler, and really awesome looks.

Well I got my Toytec Ultimate on. I got the standard spring rate. Installation went relatively well. Here are pics of the transformation.

DANG! :thumb3:That looks great, even with the stock tires! I bet it will look even better with some 33's mounted up. Are the rear springs 890's or 891's? I wasn't sure if you were refering to the front or rear springs as standard rate.
