Ride quality is comparable to stock, maybe a bit more stiff. Steering is "different" for some reason. I am gonna runs some 285/75/16s probably Nitto Terra Grapplers. Decisions, decisions....:shrug:

Ya I wanna run some 33"s at least, but I don't think I can go much wider without rubbing. 285/75/16 is the same as 32.8"x11.2"R16 thats not too skinny I don't think.

I got everything I know about body lifts from 4crawler--->3rd Gen 4Runner Body Lift Installation
He says the radiator drop is not nessisary. Just the bumper lift and the included steering shaft spacer (which some people say the splines on the shaft are long enough an the spacer is only needed on 96s...)
I ordered a bumper lift bracket, but didn't use it. the 00-02s with the big front bumper mount differently so it was easier for me just to lift it by drilling 2 new holes in the stock bumper bracket like they talk about on the website above.

Looks good. I thin the reason the tires don't look to namall is becuase the runner is black. Blends with the tires. If i were you I'd go with 285/75 or a 255/85. Seen you mentioned the nitto Terra grappler. I can't recommend it enough. I loved mine when I had them. They wore great. My only complaint is it doesn't look extremely aggresive but it's an A/T so that's to be expected. Any questions about em just PM me. GL with what you decide and make sure to post up pics!

The front is bilstiens, the back is procomp(kinda wish I had gotten bilstiens for the back too).
Truck has 91K.

A buddy of mine had Yokohama's on his Sequoia that he wheels.
Kept ripping the side walls out.
He went with the new Kevlar tire. I think they are either Goodyear or BFG, don't remember.

BTW, as some of you mentioned before I started this lift, the rear upper shock nut is a total PITA (pain in the ass). But, if you have a strap or chain wrench (or in my case some huge ass channel locks) you can get a rachet on the nut and get it to hang up on the frame and then turn the shock itself! I made short work of it that way.

Yeah thats not a problem i've ran stock 5 star rims with 285/75's and 315/75's never a problem.

Yeah the people at the Navy Exchange where trying to sell me the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor MT/R which is the one I think you are talking about with the Kevlar.

According to the tire manufacturers - no. And some shops won't mount them because they are poo-tangs and are incapable of letting common sense prevail over regulation, but...
In the real world where the rest of us live, yes they fit perfectly fine.
I see you are up in Everett.
FWIW, I'd go to Les Schwab and get the Toyo M/T's.
I run them on my 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser and love them. They are not the cheapest tire, but I love mine!
One of the best parts is that they are extremely quiet on the street. They have none of that howling that some other tires have.

Ya, I am definatly considering the Toyos also. I like the M/Ts because they look agressive but they are not too extreme.
