But no lady you had to get argumentative after I watched you let your door hit my car. Then I wouldn't have called my insurance to waste everybody's time. I guess I'm just tired of the arrogant, I'm better than you and just straight rude that's getting worse and worse. Probably a good thing I didn't go with my first instinct.

April 9th this year I was turning onto a side street in a 3 way intersection. There was a turn lane for me but there was a road crew working on it. They had a big truck in the inside lane of oncoming traffic. It was late at night so I stopped in the middle of both inside and outside lane of my detection. The reason so far out is so I can see the curve of the road past the truck. I didn't see any cars. Next thing I know I am turning off the side street back on to the road I was trying to turn off of. A girl in a 2000 corolla was going so fast she had not rounded the corner yet. She hit me on the passenger side rear axle and back door and spun me 180 degrees and sent me 20ft off to the side. The spar tire broke the 3/16 steel cable and the tire was 60 ft away in someones yard.

wtf part 1. I got the ticket

wtf part 2. She told my insurance company that I pulled out of a drive way making it 100% my fault and she got a new car.

wtf part 3. No one at my insurance company would take my call and kept saying that the lady that took the original call is on vacation (for 2 damn months. lies...)

Wtf part 4. I just got dropped and dont have insurance.

So I got the next 2 days off and I have time to pull the axle replace a seal and possibly a barring. Straighten some tabs for the lower control axle end. Replace the upper and lower control arms. It took me 2 months but I got the rear door open so new door as well.

On mine woman said it was there before and tried buffing it out with her finger while I was yelling at her don't touch my car lady!!! Over and over again. Then when I went to take a picture of her license plate she covered it with her arm. Now why would she have done that if the ding and scratch was there before.
with and couple year old nice lexus and the type of clothes she was wearing, obviously well off. Where the runner is one of the few nice things I have. Just grrr. Sorry to ramble

someone once it my trailer hitch and said I backed into them so at less I can drive in a applebees that wasnt possible besides she couldnt go anywhere here radiator had a hole the size of a softball in it.

Like my last title said this should be a rant thread.

People suck... and you know damn well that she's thinking... OH.. it's just an old SUV....

I freakin hate when people do **** like that to me. The other day, I park at Walnuts (My word for Walmart), and notice a loose shopping cart just sitting across from where I was parked. (Which.. btw, was a mile away from any other car, and just as far from the store).

When I get back, I find a newer Tundra with Mud tires and some after market rims parked right next to me, and a F@ckin shopping cart against my driver door!!!

The cart had nothing to do with the Tundra, but that cart ended up on it's side in the middle of the parking lot, because I had a HULK SMASH moment when I saw it on my door like that!

It just erks me that people can be so careless and leave their shopping carts loose in a parking lot like that. I once had $300.00 worth of damage to my 95 Monte Carlo because someone douche bag let their cart loose, and it smashed in my driver side front fender.

Lucky for me that day, the 4Runner had no damage... not even a scuff.

I'm sorry to hear your guy's stories... at least you're alive... Your life is worth much more - though I do relate - I love my T4R - even if it is 14 years old...

Recently, I had my 4Runner parked near my garage door. and this door is one that you pull up - it pulls out and then up... and I was pushing it up from the inside, in the dark, not realizing my 4Runner was right outside... and I pushed it right into the rear passenger side fender and scratched the paint... I was SO mad at myself... I stayed up late that night cleaning it up and adding some touch up paint, but it doesn't look the same... at least it was a very small scratch (couple inches long - exposed metal) and fortunately it didn't dent (right by the tailight)...

I watched a shopping cart role into a lambo at one of those fancy malls a city over. I didnt bother going in, I dont fit in any of the cloths, all I did was pick up my friend with a dead car.

I hate it when I come across this picture in my phone of a 4runner that is so trashed it makes me cuss at the person that drives it through the phone. It makes me want to repo it. Or like have child services for cars take it away. This fudger doesnt deserve it.

It has primer overspray on the everything and the entire truck is painted flat blue

This is the exact reason why i carry a shotgun,crowbar, and baseball bat in the runner.

Once some idiots tried to cut me off I'm a construction zone and they came so close the pushed my mirror FORWARD so I waited till we came to the light, pulled In front of them, got out.... And got even. Later that day I realized my mirror had room to by over extended and it wasn't broken.... Ooooops! Lol I'm pretty sure those guys will stop driving like it idiots now!

Had a doctors appt

and parked about 50' from a eastbay conservation crew (work crews for oakland/alameda county juvenile delinquents) clearing brush from a overpass abutment. I thought nothing of it...

After the appt i jump in my truck and drive 340 miles to my dads house in so cal. Once there i park, get out of my truck and notice that someone key'd the entire drivers side of the truck, in some places going down to the metal. I guess the thing that got me so wound up was that i couldn't kick the living ****ing **** outta the coward that did this to my truck.

The truck had to be repainted/blended or it would rust so i huckered down and paid my deductable and had it done. This served as an instance where my trust in other people is tested to its limit as well as my tolerance for *******s. :bluejump:

Sorry man. I hate it too. People are so careless and in their own worlds that they don't give a sh*t about other people's stuff. It makes me park far away from everyone else whenever I can. I too know that it's an old rig and a rig that's meant to get bumped and bruised, but I am the one who does that, NOT because someone decides to not care when they open their door.

On the opposite note, I came out to my car the other day to find someone had pulled up SUPER close to my passenger side. I looked at my sliders and saw a fairly big mark and then looked at his door and saw a good sized dent in the side of his door RIGHT where my sliders would hit. He must have flung his door open with some good speed (maybe even to purposely hit my door?) and dented his door up because he didn't know I had those sliders there. It put a big smile on my face.

I have been running around w/o a front bumper and every time I go out I get people trying to get me to rear end them. I have seen people stop extremely early for lights, slowly move and then stop when the light turns green, try to back into me at a light, cutting me off when I'm coming up to a red light, or just cutting me off w/o the safe distance and then slam on the brakes. (Plus no one knows how to use a blinker or look for one) I swear people see a nice truck missing its bumper and think I am not watching and I'm just going to hit them. They think I have hit someone in the past when the reality was a braking or ABS failure and a concrete parking post. I can't drive the way it sits w/o someone pulling some sort of B/S. The new valance should be here today and I just have to wait and paint tell after the tranny cooler install. (would much rather a snow plow but I guess police frown on pushing cars off the road)

I think the right thing would one, being careful. And two, after hitting the other vehicle (you'd know) you check it out and then leave a note on THEIR car.

I run an auto body shop. It is not common at all for people to leave a note with their info if they damage someone else's car.

Years back a customer came in with a smashed tail light and warped bumper cover. She showed me the note that the culprit left on her car...

"Hi I'm real sorry I hit your car. I'm leaving you this note because several other people saw me do it and I need them to think I'm leaving you my insurance info. Sorry."

Ha! What an *******! I guess you gotta give him points for ingenuity though. :happens:
