All terrain tire recommendation for full size truck

I'm leaning towards the duratrac or falken at3w, but will consider all tires. Will be mostly city and highway miles, but will also tow every now and then and do some offroading for hunting camping etc. Looking for aggressive curb appeal that won't effect mpg too much while being a good off road tire for climbing lose dirt hold, snow mud and sand . Something that wears well and balances well, and lasts long.

In the southeastern US, Duratracs have been very good to me for the types of terrain I see in the woods, at the farm, at the cabin, etc. I do not have any experience with the falkens, unfortunately. I've read reviews from folks in more rocky environments that suggest the sidewall on the duratracs are crap and problematic due to tears, cuts, etc but I have not experienced this where my tires have been.

I recently picked up a "new" full-size truck. Replaced the Nittos with some BFG KO2s. Absolutely love them so far. Great on road and off. :thumb3:

You can never go wrong with BFG AT KO...if you can afford them. BFG KO is the perfect balance b/w toughness (3-ply sidewalls), off-road capability, and on-road performance (+ winter driving with snowflake).

Cooper Discover AT3 is my go to tire.

Recently I tried out a Discount Tire branded "Pathfinder AT". Not the sport model, the A/T.

Was gonna get my cooper AT3 as normal but they were running a sale on these and I couldn't pass it up. Got them for about $70/tire installed. Normally they run $125.00/Tire.

I've put about 30K miles on them off and on road, nothing too rough, just hunting and camping trails with a few mild/moderate 4X trails mixed in.

I have to say I really like them. Smooth ride, great traction in rain, snow, dirt, dry conditions, etc. Not too noisy. Overall a very good tire, excellent for the price I got them.

I prefer the AT3, but at the price point I'd get them again for sure.

Kumho makes them discount brands them.

I hear such opposite info on the duratrac. Some love them say they are great and last long, others talk about the weak sidewalls and that they don't last.

Same with ko2, I hear good and bad, only negative I know for sure is they are heavy

thank you. I read good stuff about the Cooper, only thing I don't like is they aren't to aggressive.

I'm now leaning toward Toyo at2 or hankook. I've had both and liked both. My hankook mti had two sets, sold both with 40k on therm and plenty of life to go.

I hate shopping for wheels and tires.

I’m sold on Yokohama geolanders. Had their AT/S on my silverado for 112,000 miles, seriously guy at discount disnt believe me when it told him the odometer reading, probably decent tread till 100,000 miles. I bought another set but got the Geolander G015 this time more of a true AT snowtire. Drove them all last winter in snow for 4 months. Only needed 4wd 3 times, once turning my trailer around in my driveway. Liked them so much we put a set on my wifes 98 Limited, she loved them this winter although limited snow this winter. Probably going to get a set of 33” G015 for my DD tires to run on my 85 4runner.
Think they cost somewhere between 130-160 a corner size depending.

I put Cooper AT3’s on my dad’s 3/4 suburban. Great tire and currently have about 35k miles and still plenty of tread. I also like the hankook dynapro at/m rf10s. My dad had those on his 2010 Tacoma and never had issues with. It’s too bad he leased that truck cuz I loved it. When I put tires on friends trucks(rare but I do it about twice a year) I recommend both tires if they’re looking for an AT.

I've got a set of Duratracs and have been happy with them for the most part. They do have more road noise compared to the KO's and their traction on wet pavement is not the best.

I had the Duratrac's on my 2011 runner and the KO2's on my new runner.

Duratrac's offer better traction off road, but are noticeably louder and I found the tread life to be quite poor.

KO2's are a better compromise IMO. Reasonably quiet, still good traction off road and better tread life. Others have complained about poor traction in the wet. Personally I haven't noticed poor traction in the wet, but the full time 4wd on my new runner vs part time on the old one, might be the difference.

I run the KO2's on my dodge cummins.
They are a great all around tire for everything you mentioned.

ST Maxx are a really good tire. Long wear life, amazingly quiet, aggressive tread pattern, good grip on and offroad, great wet traction. Only negative is they are heavy.

I am on my second set of Yokohama Geolanders on my f-250. My driving is mixed between towing, highway, winter/summer offroad. When I replace them it will be with the same tire.

BFG KO2 or General Grabber AT2 are both awesome tires in my experience and both last at least 60K miles.

Another for Cooper AT3. Had them on my FX4 and they were great tires.

Slightly streetier you might consider Goodyear All Terrain Adventures. 60k mile Kevlar lined.
