All these 4runners!

I'm presently visiting SoCal with the family--- we're headed into Disneyland for our last day tomorrow--- Been to Universal, Beaches- Venice and Santa Monica-, Downtown etc. and I'm blown away by the number of 4runners-- in every color and state of modification.... some are a little banged up but the general condition of these trucks is frickin' awesome! Back home, almost every 1st gen has a rusted out rear gate and fenders, 2nd gens doors, quarter panels and fenders, and 3rd gens have holes in the bumpers.... too bad most are 2wd's! There also seems to be a parts store on every block selling anything you might need!
After driving around LA for the last 5 days this !@#$% traffic would drive me towards incurable brain damage! I have a great deal of respect for all you poor local souls that have to fight it everyday! Wow! So many cars and trucks and people.... However, getting groups together must be great---- there must be some great places to off-road, in the mountains, near LA....

Being born and having lived there for years I understand what you are saying. You are correct there are so many places to wheel and camp and just have a great time. I hope other than the traffic and people and top of people you ahd a good time.

I experienced the same thing when I went to SFO last year. They'd seemed to be everywhere. Goes with the territory, I guess. Less off-roading in Nebraska = less 4Runners

still here and having a great time

Doing our last night at Disney tonight. I'll say all the locals I've met here have all been very friendly and helpful! We all like it here and would like to hang out here for a time.... unfortunately, I'd probably be deported! I've always found everyone here to be very open and helpful, where some other countries the people are a little more reserved. Love the variety of vehicles.... I'd love a MR2 Spyder!/ well, homeward journey starts tomorrow--2400km- maybe next time I'm down I'll be looking for a vehicle- everything seems so cheap! Having a great time!
