AllPro Apex Front Bumper

Let's try this again.

I know there was some talk on another thread about weather or not this bumper would fit on a 3rd Gen, and the answer is yes. The bumper does need some modifications prior to mounting, and the frame will need a couple holes drilled in it. If you order the bumper and let AllPro know it's for a 3rd Gen they'll alter the bumper before it ships.

I'm going to be getting the Apex bumper with LED lightbar hoop. This hoop is a lot shorter than your standard hoop and is seen in the pictures below. I'll have a full write up on this bumper when I have it in my hands. I'll go over the install and any modifications that need to be done at that time. I also plan on running either a 14" or 20" LED bar with a factory dash switch.

Below are some pictures a the bumper mounted on a Tacoma just as a reference, and a couple pictures of the bare bumper.

Here's the switch that I'll be using. It's from a Scion TC (84160-52030) and will fit into the dash opening perfectly.

Their 2nd gen taco bumper will fit onto a 3rd gen? Interesting... Be sure to post lots of pics of how it mounts up. I'm curious! That is a nice looking bumper!

Their 1st Gen will with slight modification. I don't think the 2nd Gen's will fit since there's quite a bit of a difference. I'll have plenty of pictures to follow. The 2nd Gen pictures are just used to reference the LED hoop.

I've wanted that bumper also.

I'm glad I chose this one. Not many people have it, and AllPro has been a great company to deal. Of course this bumper isn't a direct bolt on. You'll need to cut about 3" off each frame rail, and well in their frame adapters. This is the exact same thing that the 98-00 Tacoma guys have to do. Here's a link to show you what needs to be done. In all it's not that much work, and shouldn't take you much more than an hour.

Its a good looking bumper, for a great price as well. But from what I've seen, it doesn't line up with my Limited flares that well, which I don't like. I wish it did because it's a cool looking bumper.

My SR5 has wide flares on it. I think the front flares my SR5 are the same as the Limited flares. If that's the case we'll be able to find out how they line up. I'm not really concerned with it since I took the flares of my bumper anyways. Kind of like the way it looks without those pieces.

When are you getting it?? Looking forward to the pics.
