first off, if this is in the wrong area, I apologize, MOD please move.
So I have always received great service from Toyota when I visit dealerships, today though had I not been brand loyal would have deterred me from all of Toyota period.
I am in the market for a 3rd gen runner. saw on auto trader that Miller Toyota in Anaheim had one. 99 limited. 180k miles 4x4. asking 7991 for it. I figured its way high priced, but what the hell. go see what I can do if I like it. had a fair amount of body damage to it. hood was rubbed to metal on the front in multiple areas, bumper and been hit or hit something, etc.
so after checking out the vehicle for 20 mins without even being acknowledged by someone, I went back to the showroom to find someone. found a lady out front and we took it for a drive. it was past due for timing belt.
I asked to have the timing belt done as part of the sales deal. was told NO. to much money has been dumped into this vehicle in servicing it to allow that...
the they dropped to 7500 OTD ( still way to much for its condition). I told the lady the price I was looking for and wanted to factor timing belt replacement into the deal still. she left to talk to the manager. I started to hearing him talking loud then another guy came in while he was still talking to my sales lady and told me that they will not add timing belt and are not budging on price.
they were short, rude, and could careless about me. so I left a tip on Yelp to avoid this dealership.
at 9pm I received a call from a 213 number. didn't answer
I then received a text which woke up my 3 yr old son laying next to me. it said the following:
so, we're rude because you couldn't get the price you wanted?
I sent a reply at 10 after getting my kid back to sleep saying :
Read the post. All very deserving. has nothing to do about the price I wanted. Thanks for bothering me with a call and text so late. I really appreciate that
then they sent this:
You're doing the same! bothering me its 10pm oh!! you're the cust, you can do it but not me!!
which I then replied with :
Good night. I'll be forwarding this to district, regional, corporate upper management. this is now harassment. you've woken up my 3yr old.
seriously?? what dealer does this to their potential customers?
sorry for the rant
