Almost wheelin with an FJ tonite

So I'm out crusing around tonite with a friend. We drive through this parkway where I went wheeling a few time's. I happen to glance up into the wooded area ....slam on the brake's because I see light's in the woods , I flip a u turn andhead up in there and sure shit it's a guy trying out his new FJ , we got out and shot the shit about Yota's, Runners , Fj's ect... pretty cool guy , even offered to let me drive it. I refused though, because my friend was in the truck and I did'nt want to inconvience her. We decided on a spot to go where we were at the other end and climb up some hill and crawl over some mulch hill's back there. Then the little excursion was stopped when the Sheriff pulled in with his Tahoe. He was cool and just said you guy's can't be back here and left......could have fined us if he wanted to,so he was cool. We got out of there and pulled over on the parkway road lifted up the hood's ect... he was telling me his plans for the FJ ect.... it was pretty cool time and good bs'n.

He just got it and already switched out to Revo's and had a Optimum yellow top deep cycle battery in it ( huge battery ) plan's an a new bumper , winch ,ect.... nice guy.

He already had quite a bit of mud on it too , and my truck was all cleaned up but would have went wheelin anyway.

So we both had the same tire's and the same size tire's but his looked huge compared to mine, but ???? same size. The rim's were cool too , I like them and would have looked good on my Runner. I did'nt look at his tire's but he said they were 265/70's like I had.

Funny thing when I was a cop I used to patrol that parkway, they had problem's with thing's I'd rather not mention here or see again....lol,if you get my drift.

all in all a cool nite These thing's are starting to grow on me. . By the way it was a blue one.

Must have been back in the Underwood Parkway where they are tearing everything up for the retention basins huh? I drive right through there everyday on the way to work and always want to go tear around in there since it all getting bulldozed anyway, but I do see sheriffs around quite a bit, and all the construction workers of course. Where exactly did you guys go in?

Oh, and I'm glad you said "her" for your friend or I might have thought you were partaking in the things you were mentioning. : Still kinda creeps me out when I run or ride my bike through there and all those dudes in their cars are just staring at you. Makes you run a little faster. :awais:

Yes went in over by the road that lead's up to the archery range , the gate was open so we went in . Not supposed to but , oh well. She live's right around the corner from there on Swan blvd. I know what you mean , I bike in there too, and yes it does creep me out too , but noboby has ever hassled me . . You can also try to go in off of Watertown plank across from the hospital Froedtert behind the power plant ( better , safer area IMO ) . Some nice trail's there to. ENTER at own risk.

That park is a trip , my friend at the Sheriff's dept usually patrol's the park system , then I can get away with a little more wheelin action if I know he's working. Like I said I patrolled there for quite a few year's , not nearly as bad as it used to be. Lot's of undercover cops there....good deal !!

Maybe they were the LTs? Or the FJ just shows more tire stock. My tires seemed bigger after the lift, but still look too small.

yeh, coluld have been LT's , forgot to ask whuch rating , plus it did sit up higher so it exposed more of the top of the tire too.
