During practice at the Petit LeMans last weekend, Scott Sharp ran into a GT2 Porsche, launching his Highcroft Patron Acura into the wall and catch fence, completely destroying the car. Video of the wreck:

After the wreck, the team had to build an entirely brand new prototype right there in their paddock, piece by piece. It took:
4,000 mechanical parts
250 electrical parts
100 engine parts
350 gearbox parts
450 pieces of custom hardware
Re-used only 10% of the parts from the car that crashed!
Took 30 straight hours to finish!
But the best part is, they had a camera set up in the corner of the paddock taking a pic of their progress at a regular interval. Here is the time lapse video of their build, and it's sweet:
