Alright, You Come to the 5th Gen Section Why???

Visiting this forum is the closest I have come to using social media. I don't have a Facebook and don't tweet. All my friends complain about is having to pretend to be friends with other people they barely know and walk on eggshells when they post. What a waste of time and energy.

Instead, I come here. I've really enjoyed getting to know a few guys on the forum and as a newbie have found their patience and good humor with me really inspiring. I've enjoyed other forum members' (@1engineer and [MENTION=66389]BlackWorksInc[/MENTION] come to mind) incredibly thoughtful and interesting responses to issues that surface. I also love clever ideas and great, inventive mods.

I like the build threads, but really love to see how people get out and enjoy the world. So I love the "What did you do today..." thread to see what folks all over the country are up to. Those posts are the most interesting, in my opinion.

I forget what thread it was recently, but there was a reference to El Duderino. So I hope that we see some more of those. We need more funny, even tho the 750 roof rails shenanigans was pretty good.

I am currently researching the 100 series as a truck "for my husband" (good one, right?) and it makes me sad that you all aren't there...

Well, the point usually is that it is something hashed out to the point it is irritating. When you are new, nothing seems really irritating except working for an answer. When you've answered a few thousand times the same question... And people aren't always nice in how they ask or come off as dicks... Yeah, your going to probably have a few short answers.

They (the old guys) have to remind people that they are indeed helpful from time to time, and more so than most people who complain about them. It's strategic. Next time someone complains about an "old guy" the "old guy" can bring up that one time they helped and the person complaining didn't, and people like me will like their post. It really is like a merry-go-round in here.

Can you post the link for me? I don't read sticky threads because they probably aren't very important and I don't know how to search.

I mostly come here to wait for someone to ask about KDSS so I can trash it without actually knowing anything about it. Oh, and also to post random stuff about superchargers and tag [MENTION=89562]bimrunner[/MENTION] in the post.
