Aluminum Finned Trans Cooler

Has anyone ever tried one of these? My thread searching didn't bring anything up but the standard coolers. Seems like these would be extremely durable and I know my trans is getting pretty hot while wheeling. Just curious if anyone has some experience with them.

My concern would be that it doesn't appear to be self-regulating. Many of the B & M coolers feature low temperature bypass channels, to allow trans fluid to bypass the cooler until it's brought up to temp. Remember, flat cooling of the trans isn't what we're after, but instead proper operating temperature. A cold transmission isn't much happier than an overly hot one, so it's important to bring them up to temp asap.

We've used similar ones to that for power steering coolers, it won't significantly drop trans temp I don't think, but a before and after would be cool to see.

Honestly that was my concern was that it wouldn't do enough. With the type of driving I do having my transmission to cold never is an issue because it's constantly hot in heavy duty 4 Wheeling

It looks sort of cool, but the cooling capacity of it would be much, much less.
