Am I building a Frankenstein?

So I got a set of Fox TRD shocks I'm installing on my 2016 Trail w/ KDSS. Really excited to go with the fox shocks. I've tried them and love how they ride. Regardless, I just want to add a smidge of a lift, so I decided to grab some 3/4 cornfed spacers for the front. I figured 3/4 isn't really going to hurt my ride quality or strain my suspension.

Either way I don't think I've seen anyone do what im doing. I really would like to see some pictures, if anyone has this?

don't the TRD pros have a 1" lift in the front already because of the fox's?

Yea.. but I’m going to add to it. Factory rake on KDSS equipped 4runners is 2.5 inches. So 1 inch from pro shocks plus 3/4 should give me a net gain of 1.75inches w/ .75 in rake.

Update: I got the KDSS rake measurements off another forum member here. I measured mine and I actually only have 2 inches of rake now (still stock), so I reached out to cornfed to see if he can make me a .5 inch spacer for the rear- that way I don't squat when I am fully loaded.

Actually I kinda did the same thing but with the Bilstein TRD pro suspension on a limited. Then I also installed Cornfed 2/1.5 spacer. It rides like a stock Pro.

Why not just get the suspension that gives you the ride you want and the lift you want without adding spacers?

I got a good deal in a low mileage TRD pro suspension.

Yes. It’s ~ 38.5” from ground to fenders. Is a comparison to my friends stock 17pro.

Because there is nothing wrong with a small spacer lift. It will not hurt a thing nor will it change the ride.

I have a half inch space with my Icon CDCV setup to attribute for driver side lean and allow more adjustment if I want to go higher. Sometimes spacers are the best solution to not mess with the coilovers by topping them out.

Cornfed spacer for the front is a lot cheaper than new front springs.
