Am I crazy or is there a problem??

Greetings 4Rs...
I just traded my 06 Chevy trailblazer with 180k for an 07 4R limited with 47k. Love it BUT... the vehicle doesn't comfortably coast around 30-35 mph. If I'm traveling around town 40 mph, let up on gas and coast, when speeds drop it downshifts around 35 mph and it feels like there is resistance. My speed drops more rapidly than coasting at 40. If I put the vehicle in neutral there is a normal decrease in speed so it's like the transmission is holding it up-not tire, brakes or other resistance.

My husband thinks I'm crazy and the vehicle is just geared different from my Chevy. I just cannot imagine toyota gearing a car this way - unable to coast smoothly at 35 without drop in speed so quickly.

Am I crazy or is there something wrong???? Maybe both are true.

This is pretty normal. The transmission is designed to slow the car down when gas is released between 30-50mph. You'll find this even more noticeable when going downhill. Completely normal.

Funky shifting

Don't know if you've resolved this but just had driveline lubed whewhew , had similar problem or like that issue ! Mine glides now much smoother

Might mention this to service tech especially if still under warranty !
