Am I crazy?

Ok I know this forum will be inherently biased but I'm hoping for some genuine opinions. I have the opportunity to trade my 1st gen 4runner 22re,5 speed, bj spacers, bilstein 5100's, OME rear leafs, new full exhaust, new head, timing chain, water pump, oil pump, fuel injectors, tires, wheels for a 1993 series 80 with 212,000 on the clock. It has a branded title because of a previous fender bender, but he states it was repaired correctly. I have yet to inspect the truck but according to the owner it is on good mechanical shape, runs:drives well. Basically stock rig without lockers. The only thing he mentioned was a valve tick. My question to you guys is do you think this would be a good straight up trade? I have read Slee's buyers guide. This is not a daily driver rig, and will replace the 4runner as a camping/expo rig for my wife dog and I. I am very tempted as I've always wanted an 80 and the extra space would be welcomed. Here are both rigs: what say you? Thanks

Wow thats a tough one. Ive always loved the 80 series too. They're built like tanks. Last series with the solid front axle and the straight six. They have more creature comforts (which the wife will like) and more towing capacity. They also get horrible gas mileage. How important is that to u? Slee makes some sick lifts for these and it'll make a better long-range expedition vehicle. You said its a salvage title... have it professionally inspected if u have any doubts. My solution... get 'em both! LOL

Thanks for the reply, mpg isn't really much of an issue as I have another rig and motorcycle for dd's. Really conflicted haha.

I had a question for you... Ive been thinking about painting the top on my 88 4RNR. Did u paint urs and if so what paint did u use? How did it turn out? Would u do it again? Thanks
