Am I pushing it? And is this price decent?

My truck has 198700 on it, It's due for an oil change at 200k exactly. I'm also going to do the timing belt, according to the sticker underhood it was last done at 89k. I know they're non interference motors, and I'm actually working on getting a motor thrown in this stupid turbo cop car (my 2nd vehicle) so I was going to wait until that was done but I won't go past 200. Also I called a local dealer and she said 450-500 for the timing belt service, is that good? I asked her about a pass side rear axle seal and she said blah balh better do both and quoted me 1200 Im like uhhh no thanks I have friends... haha. Are they really that hard to do?

doing a t belt job is really not that bad i never did one i just used 4x4 wire's write up and it all went smooth i got a kit off ebay for like 300

300 labor for T belt and 250 for the t belt complete kit, 40 for the axles seals 200 for labor, both can be donw your self both can be time consuming

You are definitely not pushing it, as long as there are no signs of water pump issues. Most TB failures are caused by WP leakage or seizures. 111K is pretty safe with these belts. I deliberately waited until 120k. Then I replaced both idlers, WP, and tensioner so I can feel good about waiting until 240k to do it again.

The TB is a big job, but I am glad I tackled it. You need a 250 ft-lb torque wrench, a pulley holding tool, and a fair amount of time. The E-Bay kits are great. I haven't done axle seals, but there are lots of write-ups--doesn't look too bad.

in my mind thats a hard repair haha. i know nothing about doing them, thought it was hard to do? guess i can look it up huh..

Never hurts to try. As long as you get the pulley off its fairly straightforward

And the worse case is you get pictures, post it up here and we will gladly chime in where what goes here, etc ;p
